Returning NUSD students to Newark Middle School:

Welcome to Newark Middle School!! All students must be registered online through the ParentVue app or  Click Here to register your student prior to the 2025/2026 school year. If you are having trouble logging in or forgot your login information, please come to the office with a valid ID so we can help you. All students must be registered by Wednesday July 30th, 2025 in order to pick up their students schedule! 

Middle School Orientation will be here before you know it! Please take a moment to log into ParentSquare and ensure your child is registered for the 2025–2026 school year.

 If you have already registered and your registration is marked as pending, : 

           * Be sure to bring your 2 proofs of residencies to the Newark Middle School main office so your registration can be approved. (Please see below for acceptable form of Proof of Residencies)

           * For 7th grade students, be sure to submit your child's proof of T-Dap vaccine if you have not already. Registration for 7th graders will NOT be approved, schedules will NOT be able to be picked up and students will NOT be able to attend the 1st day of school until we receive proof that the T-Dap vaccine has been received.

 If both of the above have been completed and your students registration is still showing in pending status, no further action is needed. Please bare with us as we are working through reviewing and approving all registrations that have been submitted. 

 Once we get to your child's registration if further information or documentation is needed, we will contact you through the contact information provided on your child’s registration. 

 If your student’s registration is not completed by the day before their Orientation Day, they will NOT receive a class schedule.

 If you live outside of Newark or are unable to provide proof of residency, you must have your residency verified at the District Enrollment Center:

Acceptable Proof of Residency (Two Documents Required):

ONE of the following:

- Lease/Rental agreement (must include property address, occupant names, terms and dates of lease/rental agreement and signatures)

- Current mortgage statement

- Property tax bill

- Property assessment statement from county

AND ONE of the following (dated within the last 30 days):

- PG&E bill

- Garbage bill

- Cable bill

- Water bill

- Paystub

- Voter registration

- Correspondence from a Government agency 

The first day of school is: Thursday - August 07, 2025   

*** Important registration information for incoming 7th Grade ***

  Tdap booster shot is required for all incoming 7th graders:

All incoming 7th graders must show proof of an adolescent whooping cough booster shot (Tdap) prior to starting school. The Tdap booster shot must be given on or after the 10th birthday. By law, students who do not have proof of receiving a Tdap booster shot will not be able to pick up their schedule or start off the school year until proof of the immunization is provided to the school. (The tetanus-diphtheria booster shot, Td, will not meet the requirement). Any 7th-8th grade student that is present for the 1st day of school without providing proof of their TDap vaccination will be sent home.

REMEMBER: NO IMMUNIZATION ~ NO PROOF ~ NO SCHEDULE ~ NO SCHOOL!! 

Please provide the proof of Tdap one of the following ways

* Drop off at the NMS office Mon-Thurs between the hours of 9am-3pm

* Email to ccortez@newarkunified.org or mortiz@newarkunified.org
