Campus Safety at Newark Middle School
At Newark Middle School, the safety of our students and staff is our top priority. We actively prepare for a variety of emergency situations including fires, earthquakes, lockdowns, and shelter in place events. These safety procedures are practiced regularly through drills and reviewed by staff throughout the year.
Each classroom is equipped with emergency supplies, and all staff are trained in district safety protocols to ensure calm and effective responses. Our team is also prepared to assist students with disabilities during any emergency. We work closely with local first responders, the district office, and our families to make sure everyone is informed and protected.
We encourage students, families, and staff to report anything that seems unsafe. Creating a safe and secure learning environment is a shared responsibility.
