Electives
STEM Robotics (Grades 6–8)
Teacher: Ms. Orea
Ms. Orea leads our hands-on STEM Robotics program, which introduces students to the fundamentals of robotics, coding, and engineering. Sixth graders explore basic design and coding through the STEM Wheel, while students in grades seven and eight dive deeper into programming logic, mechanical systems, and real-world problem solving using robotics kits and digital tools.
Spanish (Grades 6–8)
Teacher: Ms. Schwab
Our Spanish elective offers students the opportunity to build foundational language skills in reading, writing, listening, and speaking. The Spanish Wheel for sixth graders introduces basic vocabulary and conversational skills, while Spanish I for seventh and eighth graders expands on grammar, sentence structure, and cultural awareness in preparation for high school Spanish.
Music & Band (Grades 6–8)
Teacher: Mr. Hernandez
Mr. Hernandez brings energy and expertise to our music program. The Music Wheel for sixth graders provides an introduction to rhythm, melody, and instruments. Students in Advanced Band and Concert Band (grades 7–8) refine their skills on wind, brass, or percussion instruments through performance and collaboration. Intermediate Choir offers students a chance to develop vocal technique and perform as a group.
Art (Grades 6–8)
Teacher: Mr. Miller
Led by Mr. Miller, our visual arts program encourages creativity, self-expression, and artistic skill development. Sixth graders explore a variety of media and techniques in the Art Wheel, while students in grades seven and eight engage in more advanced projects involving drawing and mixed media.
