Save the date:

Athletics will have a table and participate in the main NMS orientation on August 2nd, 3rd, & 4th. Based on incoming grade level. It's a great opportunity to get information and to have any questions regarding season sports answered.

SEASON 2 - TRYOUTS will be 8/21 - 9/29, 
(ALL ATHLETES MUST BE AT ALL TRYOUT DAYS.)

Season 2 Sports

 

Registrations FOR SEASON 2 BEGAN 8/21/2024!   Registration closes on September 29, 2024.
 

Season 2 Sports offered: 

  • Boys Varsity Flag Football

  • Boys Junior Varsity Flag Football

  • Girls Varsity Volleyball 7th & 8th

  • Girls JV Volleyball 6th & 7th 

  • Unfortunately, there will be no Boys Baseball team this year

Tryout information is available via our athletics website, posters around campus/inside locker rooms and email notifications have been sent to families. Please see the details below. 

All athletes must be at all of the tryout days. Tryouts are closed to outside spectators, only students & coaches may attend. 

Tryouts for Season 2 will take place between September 30th - October 4th, times/locations will be shared at a later time. 

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL TRYOUTS- 9/30- 10/4.  6:00-7:30  Meet in the gym.

Prior to attending tryouts you MUST REGISTER! See Steps below: 

1. Register on Family ID https://www.familyid.com/organizations/newark-middle-school - I have also attached directions for Family ID as well. 
  • You must create an account and then search for Newark Middle School and then register for season 2 sports. 
  • The registration for season 2 sports ( Boys JV & Varsity Flag Football, Girls JV & Varsity Volleyball, Boys Baseball) opened today August 21, 2024  and will close September 29th, 2024 at 11:59 pm. 
2. Submit/upload a copy of a current physical.  (Must be dated December 2023 and later as physicals are only valid for one year and must be valid for the entirety of the season). 
  • I have attached a form that you may take to the doctor to use for the physical, however this specific form is not mandatory, any form provided by the doctor will work as well as long as it shows a break down of all the exams that were completed. 
  • Please attach to Family ID registration ONLY. You may attach photos of the physical or a pdf file. 
    • Please no password protected files, blank documents or incompatible files such as HEIC or TIF, immunization records or doctors notes.  It must be a sports physical showing proof of all the exams being completed.  If for any reason you cannot attach the sports physical to Family ID, please email me. 
3. If you are in need of a physical or need to renew a physical, I have attached a pdf file of locations that take appointments & walk-ins. There are minimal costs associated with these clinics.
